The Journal of Sports Sciences has an international reputation for publishing articles of a high standard and is both Medline and Thomson Reuters listed (2015 IF: 2.142, 22/82 in Sports Sciences journals). It publishes research on various aspects of the sports and exercise sciences, including anatomy, biochemistry, biomechanics, performance analysis, physiology, psychology, sports medicine and health, as well as coaching and talent identification, kinanthropometry and other interdisciplinary perspectives. In addition to reports of original research, the Journal also publishes review articles, case studies, letters to the editor, short communications and book reviews.

The Journal of Sports Analytics is a new high-quality research journal that aims to be the central forum for the discussion of practical applications of sports analytics research, serving team owners, general managers, coaches, fans, and academics. Analytical research is welcome on any single sport or across sports that seeks to improve our understanding of the game or strategies for improving a team or a league.
